Phoenix Coyotes sign right win Nick Johnson to 1-year deal

GLENDALE, Ariz. - The Phoenix Coyotes have signed right wing Nick Johnson to a one-year, two-way contract.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Johnson played 77 games with the Minnesota Wild last season, setting career highs with eight goals and 18 assists.

He's played 87 career NHL games with Minnesota and Pittsburgh, with 10 goals and 21 assists.

Johnson was originally drafted by the Penguins in the third round of the 2004 NHL draft.
