Capitals re-sign centre Jay Beagle to 3-year deal worth $2.7M

ARLINGTON, Va. - The Washington Capitals re-signed centre Jay Beagle to a three-year deal worth $2.7 million.

The 26-year-old restricted free agent had four goals in 41 games last season. He also won 57.7 per cent of his faceoffs, ranking second on the team.

Beagle was signed by Washington as an undrafted free agent in 2008. He has seven goals and three assists in 82 career NHL games.

All things considered, how would you rate this NHL season?












“I think when you’re at home the first two games, sometimes you get a little bit too comfortable at home. Then you come on the road, maybe it’s like a rude awakening…We’ve had three series to figure that out, learn it. We definitely want to be better (Monday), especially in the first game on the road.”
