Predators sign F Brandon Yip to 1-year contract worth $750,000

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - The Nashville Predators have signed forward Brandon Yip to a one-year deal worth $750,000, bringing back a player claimed off waivers in January.

The 27-year-old Yip had seven points in 25 games with the Predators, and he played in all 10 playoff games with two points. The Predators claimed him off waivers from Colorado on Jan. 19.

The 6-foot-1, 195-pound right wing has 48 points in 138 career games. He was the 239th pick overall by Colorado in 2004 after helping Boston University win the 2009 national championship.
