COLUMBUS, Ohio - The Columbus Blue Jackets have signed forward Nick Drazenovic (DRUH' zehn oh vihk) to a one-year, two-way NHL-American Hockey League contract.
The 25-year-old had 13 goals and 28 assists in 41 games last season with the Springfield (Mass.) Falcons, Columbus' AHL affiliate. He ranked third on the club in assists, fourth in points and fifth in power-play goals (five). He has collected 86 goals and 161 assists in 307 career AHL games.
Drazenovic was St. Louis' sixth pick, 171st overall, in the 2005 draft. He spent 2007-11 in the Blues organization, making his NHL debut against the Nashville Predators on Nov. 11, 2010. He is scoreless in three career NHL games.
