In his second season in the Ontario League, Tanner Pearson established himself as an elite prospect with the skill and drive needed to be an impact player. Pearson more than doubled his production from his rookie campaign with 37 goals and 91 points in 60 games for the Barrie Colts. Unfortunately, the Kitchener native broke his leg in the final game of the regular season and missed all the post-season.

Just one year removed from going undrafted in his first opportunity, there is no doubt the 19-year-old will hear his named called in Pittsburgh this June. THN’s Ryan Kennedy caught up with Pearson to discuss his tremendous season, the NHL draft combine and more.
