Winnipeg Jets prospect Mark Scheifele had a whirlwind season in 2011-12. The 19-year-old center started the season in the NHL, getting his first taste of the pro game, before returning to the Barrie Colts of the Ontario League to further hone his craft.

Some prospects might bristle at being sent back to junior, but by all accounts Scheifele has risen to the challenge and made the most of his time in Barrie. THN’s Ryan Kennedy caught up with the Jets budding star in the midst of the Colts' playoff drive.
