Jan. 23, 1979  In: Richmond, BC.

First Hockey Memory: "Wow, probably playing mini-squirts with my brother (Chris). Chasing him around."

Hockey Inspirations: "Doug Lidster. (Why him?) I grew up a Canucks fan. He was a steady, stay-at-home defenseman. He wore No. 3, I wore No. 3. I just liked him."

Last Book Read: "The Audacity of Hope, Barack Obama."

Current Car: "Which one? Every day driving - I got a 1500 Sierra."

Greatest Sports Moment: "Getting drafted. Playing on the World Cup team. Winning goal, winning the championship. Those were near the tops for sure."

Most Painful Moment: "Every time I lose in the playoffs."

Favorite Uniforms: "I think the Blackhawks have a good jersey."

Favorite Arena: "Madison Square Garden. Montreal Bell Centre is pretty cool. Chicago when they play the anthem is pretty sweet, in a sold out barn."

Closest Hockey Friends: "I got a few boys. We all head back out to Colorado. Nolan Yonkman, he's playing in the minors. A few other guys too."

Funniest Player Encountered: "Mike Ricci probably. TK's got some good stories too, over there."

Toughest Competitors Encountered: "There's been a lot along the way. I mean, there's so many good players in the league. So many tough players. It's hard to nail it down to a few."

Most Memorable Goal:
"First one. First one for sure. In Anaheim."

Funny Hockey Memory:  "It's tough to pin it down, so many things happen. (Any memory involving Ricci?) Yeah, but nothing I can say though."

Last Vacation: "Fishing in the Queen Charlotte."

Strangest Game: "Lights went out in peewee, in a tournament. And there was a big scrap out on the ice too."

Favorite Sport Outside Hockey: "Surfing."

Embarrassing Hockey Memory: "Caught in peewee looking up in the stands on a faceoff. And then the puck - the guy skated right around me. Probably the most embarrassing."

Personality Qualities Most Admired: "Integrity. Honesty. Those are pretty strong, in my book."

Who should the Vancouver Canucks hire as their new head coach?

"Probably not. Their depth and our play right now...it doesn't look too good."

- Ottawa Senators captain Daniel Alfredsson, when asked if his team could come back from a 3-1 series deficit against the Pittsburgh Penguins.
