When the Philadelphia Flyers acquired Wayne Simmonds last summer they knew they were getting a hard working forward with a nose for the net, but even they have to be impressed with how the 23-year-old winger has developed this season.
His 26 goals and 47 points are both career highs and the Toronto native is a plus player for the first time in his career. THN’s Matt Larkin sat down with Simmonds to discuss his banner year, life in Philadelphia and more.
