Devils bolster defence by recalling Peter Harrold from Albany

NEWARK, N.J. - The New Jersey Devils have recalled defenceman Peter Harrold from Albany of the AHL.

Devils chief executive Lou Lamoriello announced the move on Monday, a day after defenceman Anton Volchenkov missed a game against Pittsburgh with a lower body injury. Harrold has appeared in five games with New Jersey this season.

The Devils also announced that University of Michigan centre David Wohlberg will sign an amateur tryout contract and be added to Albany's roster. The sixth-round draft pick in 2008 had 16 goals in his final season in college.
