Status: Tampa Bay Lightning defenseman.

Ht: 6-feet  Wt: 194 pounds

DOB: Dec. 23, 1976 In: Wapella, Sask.

First Hockey Memory: "Mom and dad taking me to the rink and getting my first hockey stick - a Titan I think. I still remember them running the rink so I remember spending many hours out there. First memory as a pro was getting drafted in Montreal."

Nicknames: "It's mainly been Clarkie."

Hockey Inspirations:  "My uncle (Dave Dunn), he played in the WHA and NHL for a little bit. I really took a lot from what he went through and kept me going to where I am today."

Last Book Read: "The Unbroken. It was a good book about never giving up hope, sticking with what you have and what you believe in. Eventually you'll persevere."

Current Car: "An Acura MDX (white)."

Greatest Sports Moment:
"It would be my first NHL goal against Ottawa. And then also winning the Turner Cup with the Orlando Solar Bears."

Most Painful Moment: "Blocking a shot. You know where (smiles). (Where did it happen?) One-timer in Tampa, just got me in the wrong spot. That's just the way hockey is. And then knowing when you've been out for a while and being sent down to the minors, never knowing if you're gonna get back up."

Favorite Uniforms: "They're all unique. When I was putting on the Montreal Canadiens ones for the first time was pretty unique for me."

Favorite Arena: "They're all very unique arenas, but I got to play in the old Maple Leaf Gardens, that was a pretty unique experience for me."

Closest Hockey Friends: "Eric Perron - he was here for a little bit. Just some kids growing up, playing midget and stuff with, I still keep in touch quite a bit."

Funniest Player Encountered: "Every team. We've got some of the funniest guys here in Marty St-Louis, he keeps us entertained."

Toughest Competitors Encountered: "Probably Iginla. I spent a lot of time playing against him with Colorado. There's no quit in him and he has the fire in his eyes from the start of the game 'til the end. You know you're in a battle every night when you play against him."

Most Memorable Goal: "My first one against Ottawa, it was a pass from Damphousse back door and scored. On my birthday. So it was a pretty memorable day."

Last Vacation: "Hawaii."

Strangest Game: "The Philly game last year. It ended up we won 8-7. I think we were down 4-1 and came back 5-4, it ended up 8-7."

Favorite Sport Outside Hockey: "Golf."

Embarrassing Hockey Memory: "The toe pick and giving away a breakaway for a game-winning goal. (Toe pick?) Went to get the puck and fell flat over the blueline and the team went down and scored the game-winner. It happens."

Personality Qualities Most Admired:
"Just down to earth is the one I admire the most, they never take anything for granted. And no matter how big they are or how small, they're just low key."
