EDMONTON - The Edmonton Oilers have recalled left-winger Linus Omark from the AHL's Oklahoma City Barons.

The 25-year-old Swede has appeared in five games with the Oilers this season, making headlines in his December debut when he scored on a spinorama in a shootout against the Tampa Bay Lightning.

The move drew the ire of Tampa forward Simon Gagne, who called it "too much." Lightning teammate Martin St. Louis said it was a "slap in the face."

Omark has five goals and 22 assists in 56 career NHL games.

He was selected in the fourth round, 97th overall, by Edmonton in the 2007 NHL entry draft.

He has recorded six goals and 10 assists in 18 games this year with the Barons.
