Blackhawks forwards Jonathan Toews and Patrick Sharp activated from IR

VANCOUVER - The Chicago Blackhawks will have Jonathan Toews and Patrick Sharp in their lineup Tuesday night when they take on the Vancouver Canucks.

The two forwards were activated from the injured reserve after missing time because of wrist injuries.

Toews was injured on Jan. 20 when Florida's Erik Gudbranson slashed him as he was trying to take a shot.

Sharp also took a slash. His injury came from Detroit's Jiri Hudler while scoring a goal on Jan. 8 and missed Chicago's last eight games.

Toews goes into Tuesday second in the NHL with 27 goals, and ranks second on the Blackhawks with 50 points. Sharp, meanwhile, is tied for second on Chicago with 20 goals and ranks fourth on the club with 40 points.

Because of the injury Toews was forced to miss the all-star game in Ottawa.
