Canadiens' P.K. Subban fined for dangerous trip on Penguins' Chris Kunitz

NEW YORK, N.Y. - Montreal Canadiens defenceman P.K. Subban has been fined US$2,500 by the NHL for a "dangerous trip" on Pittsburgh Penguins forward Chris Kunitz.

The incident occurred at 17:21 of the third period of Pittsburgh's 5-4 shootout win Friday. No penalty was assessed on the play.

The fine is the maximum allowed under the league's collective bargaining agreement.

The money goes to the Players' Emergency Assistance Fund.
