Montreal Canadiens assign rookie centre Louis Leblanc to AHL's Hamilton Bulldogs

MONTREAL - The Montreal Canadiens assigned rookie centre Louis Leblanc to the Hamilton Bulldogs of the American Hockey League on Wednesday.

Leblanc, who was a healthy scratch for Montreal's 7-3 win over the Winnipeg Jets, was recalled from the Bulldogs on Nov. 28 and played 14 games with the Canadiens

He had five points (2-3) with the Habs, including his first-career NHL goal Dec. 15 against the Philadelphia Flyers.

The 20-year-old Pointe-Claire, Que., native has 10 points (4-6) with Hamilton in 14 games this season.

Montreal selected Leblanc 18th overall in the 2009 draft.
