Over the past three seasons Steven Stamkos has established himself as an elite player in the NHL and one of the main reasons he has developed so quickly is his relentless work ethic.

Stamkos learned at a young age that to be at the top of your game you must push yourself in the off-season. This summer was no different; Stamkos was once again working with Gary Roberts and Matt Nichol to ensure he’s in peak physical condition when training camp opens in September.

THN’s Ryan Kennedy caught up with the Markham, Ont., native at the BioSteel training camp in Toronto to discuss last year’s playoff run, his new hockey hair and much more.

Will the Blackhawks come back from a 2-1 series deficit to win the Stanley Cup?

“I think when you’re at home the first two games, sometimes you get a little bit too comfortable at home. Then you come on the road, maybe it’s like a rude awakening…We’ve had three series to figure that out, learn it. We definitely want to be better (Monday), especially in the first game on the road.”

- Chicago's Patrick Kane. The Blackhawks are 0-3 in Game 3s this playoff.
