OHL names former Barrie Colts scout Darrell Woodley Director of Central Scouting

The Ontario League announced Darrell Woodley as its new Director of Central Scouting, effective immediately.

Woodley, 34, had spent the past nine seasons working for the Barrie Colts.

The Kitchener native played three seasons in the OHL from 1994-1997 with Oshawa and Barrie before joining the Colts again in 2002-03. He served two seasons as the team’s Skills Development Coordinator, two seasons as an assistant coach and five as the Director of Player Personnel.

Woodley takes over from the departed Robert Kitamura, who took a job as an amateur scout with the Tampa Bay Lightning this summer.
