BUFFALO, N.Y. - The Buffalo Sabres have added three players, including signing minor-league goalie Drew MacIntyre to a one-year contract.
The Sabres also re-signed forwards Colin Stuart, who appeared in three NHL games with the NHL club last year, and Derek Whitmore to one-year deals. All three are expected to play next season in Rochester, Buffalo's new minor-league affiliate.
MacIntyre split last season between the Chicago Wolves and Hamilton Bulldogs of the American Hockey League. He's appeared in two NHL games, and had one assist with Vancouver in 2007-08.
Stuart had 44 points (including 16 goals) in 72 games with AHL Portland last season, and had no points with the Sabres. Whitmore had 47 points (27 goals) in 80 games with Portland last season.

“I think when you’re at home the first two games, sometimes you get a little bit too comfortable at home. Then you come on the road, maybe it’s like a rude awakening…We’ve had three series to figure that out, learn it. We definitely want to be better (Monday), especially in the first game on the road.”
