The Montreal Canadiens took Nathan Beaulieu with the 17th overall selection in the NHL draft.
Beaulieu enjoyed success with the Memorial Cup champion Saint John Sea Dogs this season and improved as the year went along, finishing with 45 points in 65 games and adding 17 points in 19 games during the Quebec League playoffs.
After being selected by the bleu, blanc et rouge, the skilled, offensive defenseman talked to the media.
