Whoever selects Scholastic Player of the Year Dougie Hamilton will not only be getting a tremendous athlete, but a very intelligent young man as well.
Hamilton credits teammate and 2010 first round pick Mark Visentin as giving him some insight on what to expect during draft weekend. Hamilton is still growing into his 6-foot-4 frame and should fill out by the time he is ready to step onto NHL ice.
THN’s Ryan Kennedy spoke to Hamilton in Toronto recently as he prepared for the draft.
