Coyotes recall players from AHL affiliate to bolster practices during playoffs

GLENDALE, Ariz. - The Phoenix Coyotes have recalled 10 players from their AHL affiliate in San Antonio to bolster practices for the playoffs.

Among those called up Wednesday are three former first-round draft picks of Phoenix: forward Viktor Tikhonov, and defencemen Chris Summers and Brandon Gormley.

Others recalled are forwards Mathieu Beaudoin, Dane Byers, Bracken Kearns and Alexandre Picard, plus goaltender Matt Climie and defencemen Maxim Goncharov and Garrett Stafford.

Climie made his NHL debut in Phoenix's Dec. 20 game at Pittsburgh. Beudoin was an AHL all-star and led San Antonio in scoring with 21 goals and 30 assists in 62 games. Picard led the Rampage in goals with 24 while Kearns had 20.
