Police say no charges will be laid in Cornwall, Ont., hockey hit

CORNWALL, Ont. - Police say no charges will be laid following an investigation into a hit during a junior hockey game in Cornwall, Ont.

A Cornwall Colts player collided with the goaltender for the Kanata Stallions during a CJHL playoff match-up last Sunday night.

The goalie suffered a concussion as a result and an investigation into the incident began.

Officers say after extensive review of witness statements and video of the game and consultations with the Crown it was determined the hit didn't warrant criminal charges.
