Hockey Inspirations: "Well, I didn't have to look far - my brother (Frank)."
First Hockey Memory: "When I was about six years old, going across the snow banks in Schumacher, Ontario and playing on an outdoor rink. It was a lot of fun. That's the reason why I love playing the game and watching the game today. I always felt it was for kids. And I'm just a big kid."
Nicknames: "My nickname was ‘Little M.’ My brother was called ‘The Big M.’ Even though I was a lot bigger than he was. He was the first to have that moniker, so I had to be the next which was ‘The Little M.’ "
Favorite TV Show: "CSI."
Favorite Movies: "Casablanca."
Last Book Read: "I can't remember the name because I've been doing so much work. But I do enjoy reading a lot of mystery books."
First Job: "Is a hockey player."
Musical Tastes: "I like jazz."
Favorite Arena To Play: "The old Chicago Stadium was a fabulous place, but so was the old Montreal Forum."
Greatest Sports Moment: "For me - to be a part of Team Canada in 1972 against the Russians."
Most Painful Moment: "My first divorce (laughs). Was missing the playoffs in Montreal in 1969-70. When we lost out to the New York Rangers and we ended up with 92 points that year."
Favorite Uniforms: "I think the Chicago Blackhawks have the nicest uniforms."
Closest NHL Friends: "I have to go with my brother again. But I have a tremendous amount of friends - Steve Shutt, Serge Savard, a lot of guys with Montreal who have remained friends."
Funniest Players Encountered: "For me, one of the funniest guys is my boss in Florida (Dale Tallon). And Dennis Hull with the Chicago Blackhawks."
Toughest Competitor Encountered: "John Ferguson. As somebody who I played against and played with."
Most Memorable Goal: "The 1972 Team Canada series, I scored a shorthanded goal against Tretiak."
Strangest Game: "One night - we had a real good team in Montreal - we went into Toronto and we ended up losing 9-1. It was just one of those games where everything seemed to go wrong."
Funny Hockey Memory: "One time we were on a plane coming back to Montreal from Los Angeles. I ended up putting my jacket on - and my sleeves fell down…because somebody had cut the lining out of the sleeves (smiles)."
Favorite Players To Watch: "For me, I really enjoyed watching Gordie Howe and Jean Beliveau growing up. And of course, again, my brother. (Current players?) Any time you see Ovechkin, Kovalchuk. But I like skill players - Malkin and Crosby, different players. And even the younger kids coming in, I got to see Seguin in Boston, he's terrific. So there are a lot of good players to watch."
Personality Qualities Most Admired: "For me, I think a guy like Jean Beliveau. The way he was, soft spoken, a real gentleman at all times, no matter what the situation. That shows you've got composure and control of your life."
