Headed into the 2010-11 campaign it was expected that Steve Mason would regain his Calder Trophy form and carry the load in goal for the Columbus Blue Jackets. But after a so-so start to the year for Mason the team turned to veteran netminder Mathieu Garon to help steady the load.
And while Garon was able to stabilize the backend for the Jackets and give Mason much needed time to find his game, the team has cooled from a good start and are now fighting tooth and nail for a playoff spot.
