This week on The Hockey News Radio Show with Adam Proteau and Jim 'Boomer' Gordon on XM Satellite Radio Home Ice Channel 204:

Boomer and Adam are back for the second-to-last 2010 edition of THN Radio. In the first block, veteran NHL coach and current special advisor to the Columbus Blue Jackets, Ken Hitchcock, joins the show to discuss his role working with Western-Canada based prospects, the 2011 World Junior Championship and his biggest surprises – positive and negative – of the NHL’s regular season.

In the second block, THN writer/editor Ryan Kennedy continues to break down the World Junior Championship by looking at the top players heading into the tournament, players from second-tier countries at the event, and the impact not being chosen for a national team can have on an NHL prospect.

In the final segment, the Ask Adam mailbag answers questions on owners sitting at draft tables, the Flyers’ future without injured defenseman Chris Pronger, the hype of the 2011 Winter Classic in Pittsburgh, and the New York Rangers’ success.

All things considered, how would you rate this NHL season?

“I think when you’re at home the first two games, sometimes you get a little bit too comfortable at home. Then you come on the road, maybe it’s like a rude awakening…We’ve had three series to figure that out, learn it. We definitely want to be better (Monday), especially in the first game on the road.”

- Chicago's Patrick Kane. The Blackhawks are 0-3 in Game 3s this playoff.
