Women in Hall not an apples-to-apples issue

Charlene Bodnarchuk, Winnipeg, Man.

In regards to the letter in the Nov. 22 issue about women in the Hockey Hall of Fame, this person has obviously missed what being inducted into the Hall is all about.

People inducted have contributed to the sport of hockey in some way. Whether or not women’s hockey is at the level of men's or not, it is still developing. At the time some past players were inducted into the HHoF, they and the players who played against them might not have been at the skill level of current NHL players. Should then they be inducted?

Angela James and Cammi Granato have contributed and continue to grow the sport of women's hockey. Whether it is women's or men's, it is still hockey, a sport that both male and female players love to play.
