Thanks to Scampy

Charles West, Mount Albert, Ont.

I recently took my 17-month-old son to the Canada vs. USA Legends game at the Air Canada Centre. It was his first time at a hockey game and hats off to the organizers who put on such a family-friendly show.

But what made the day so special was when Ray Scapinello skated over to us, tapped the glass and threw my little guy a puck.

Just one more reason hockey players and officials have a reputation for being the most grounded of all the major sports.

Thanks, Ray, this will be a day my son and I never forget.

"We're playing the defending champs and you can tell they're not going to beat themselves. That team, just from them going all the way, you can see it over there. There's no panic…You can tell that's a machine over there and we've got to be at our best."
