Sutter's style seems senseless

Henry Smith, Invermere, B.C.

The Calgary Flames goals-for has taken a dramatic drop in recent years. Having scored 251 goals in 2008-09, they dropped to just 201 last year and this year does not look much better.

Brent Sutter consistently focuses on a defensive-style game even though they need goals to make the playoffs.

Playing defensive hockey does not win games; putting the puck in the net does.

Somebody has to go in the organization, whether it be Brent Sutter or high-paid defenseman such as Jay Bouwmeester, who has not been living up to his offensive expectations.

Goals win games, not defensive forechecking. Get back to the basics and put the puck in the net.
