Get Euro interest with Olympics, not NHL games

Jordan Smith, Vancouver

I find it dumb to have the NHL kickoff in Europe.

The league is not going to expand to Europe anytime soon, so why have regular season games there?

Supposedly it promotes the game at an international level, but then why isn’t league fully behind the idea of the players to participating in the Olympics?

To me, that just doesn't make any sense since.

More people are likely to watch the Olympics rather than a league that few really care about over there.
