When Dan Ellis decided to comment on the current NFL labor dispute through his Twitter account he had no idea what he was getting himself into. Playing off a tweet by NFLer Reggie Bush, Ellis wrote, “OK so what is the sticking point with the negotiations? (the owners want the players to take an 18% pay cut)…try 24% NHL.”

But it wasn’t until he wrote, “If you lost 18% of your income would you be happy? I can honestly say that I am more stressed about money now than when I was in college,” that people started taking notice.

In this edition of the THN Puck Panel host Ryan Dixon is joined by writers Adam Proteau and John Grigg to discuss Twitter and the pitfalls of NHLers using social media.
