What will Khabibulin's legacy be?

Jordan Philbert, Sherbrooke, Que.

Nikolai Khabibulin's run-in with the law was a very surprising one, because it’s not common really that NHL players have run-ins.

It doesn't change that it's very disappointing to see Khabibulin get arrested, charged, and sentenced to 30 days in jail.

This just adds to the Edmonton Oilers woes, because, when healthy, Khabibulin can be a force and become once again the 'Bulin Wall'.

He was brought into Oil Country to stop the bleeding and revitalize a franchise and be a mentor to the young goalies. I just hope this incident is not the lasting memory that fans will have of Khabibulin.

I hope Khabibulin comes back and shows he is a hard working goalie who got a chance to win the Cup back in '04. This is what Khabibulin should be known for, not a DUI arrest towards the end of his career.

Though he has a long road ahead, I still believe that Khabibulin can certainly do it.
