While vacationing back home last week in the Toronto area with my family, I had the pleasure of attending the NHL research and development camp.
I want to applaud Brendan Shanahan and the NHL operations staff for putting together this camp. I found the new potential changes to be inventive and intriguing as an avid hockey fan.
It shows that the NHL is proactively serious about meeting the challenges of improving the product to the fans and the safety of their players.
I sincerely hope this becomes an annual event and look forward to seeing how the ideas that were brought forth in this camp are implemented into the NHL games. Research and development is fundamental to any well-run organization.
