Lightning centre Lecavalier to undergo minor surgery on left knee

TAMPA BAY, Fla. - Tampa Bay Lightning forward Vincent Lecavalier will undergo minor arthroscopic surgery on his left knee, the club announced Saturday.

The procedure will take place Tuesday in Tampa at the Florida Medical Clinic and is expected to sideline the centre for up to four weeks.

The team says it expects Lecavalier to be ready to participate in the Lightning's training camp, which begins Sept. 17.

The 1998 first overall pick had 24 goals and 46 assists in 82 games last season.
