Chicago Blackhawks sign Fernando Pisani to one-year contract

The Chicago Blackhawks have signed former Edmonton Oiler Fernando Pisani to a one-year contract worth $500,000.

Pisani, who was picked in the eighth round (195th overall) by Edmonton in 1996, scored four goals and eight points in 40 games with the Oilers last season. In his career, Pisani has 80 goals and 153 points in 402 games.

During Edmonton's run to the Stanley Cup final in 2006, Pisani notched 14 goals and 18 points in 24 games.
