Columbus Blue Jackets reach agreement with forward Ben Guite on one-year deal

COLUMBUS, Ohio - The Blue Jackets have signed forward Ben Guite to a one-year contract.

General manager Scott Howson announced the signing Wednesday. Terms were not revealed.

The 32-year-old Guite was scoreless with four penalty minutes in six games with the Nashville Predators last season.

He also played with Milwaukee of the American Hockey League, where he had eight goals and 13 assists in 64 games.

The Montreal native has 19 goals and 26 assists in 175 NHL games with Boston, Colorado and Nashville. He set career highs with 11 goals and 11 assists in 79 games with the Avalanche in 2007-08.
