MONTREAL - The Montreal Canadiens dealt minor-league goaltender Cedrick Desjardins to the Tampa Bay Lightning on Monday for netminder Karri Ramo.
In 90 career games with Montreal's AHL affiliate in Hamilton, Desjardins was 49-27-5 with 2.34 goals-against average and a .909 save percentage.
The native of Edmunston, N.B., was an AHL all-star last season while going 29-9-2.
Ramo, who has spent parts of three seasons with Tampa Bay, played for Omsk Avangard of the Kontinental Hockey League in 2009-10 and posted a 21-17-4 with a 2.11 GAA and .913 save percentage.
