Parity or dynasties? Which do hockey fans want these days? I just don't know anymore.
When the NHL emerged from the lockout in 2005, it brought in the salary cap and fans were excited because now every team was on an even playing field; the Stanley Cup truly was up for grabs.
But now, five years later, the fans are complaining about the salary cap because there's "too much" parity and no dynasties in hockey anymore. I thought we wanted competitive balance in the league?
Well now we have it and we're complaining because there are no great teams anymore? Make up your minds already people.
