MONTREAL - The Montreal Canadiens have signed centre Louis Leblanc to a three-year contract, the team announced Friday.

Montreal selected Leblanc 18th overall in the 2009 NHL Entry Draft.

Leblanc played last season in U.S. college hockey with Harvard, where he led the team in goals (11), assists (12), points (23) and game-winning goals (three) in 31 games.

Leblanc, who was named Ivy League Rookie of the Year, has also been invited to next week's Canadian world junior camp in St. John's, N.L.
