Lightning forward Martin St. Louis named NHL's most gentlemanly player

LAS VEGAS, Nev. - Martin St. Louis has finally won the Lady Byng Trophy as the NHL's most gentlemanly player.

A runner-up for the award on four previous occasions, the Tampa Bay Lightning forward beat out Detroit's Pavel Datsyuk and Brad Richards of the Dallas Stars in voting conducted by the Professional Hockey Writers' Association.

St. Louis finished sixth in league scoring with 94 points and was assessed just 12 penalty minutes.

Datsyuk had won the award the past four years.
