Report: Blue Jackets offer Guy Boucher head coaching position

According to the Columbus Post-Dispatch, the Blue Jackets have offered Hamilton Bulldogs coach Guy Boucher their vacant head coaching position.

The report indicates Boucher will sit on the offer for the weekend and give his decision to Columbus GM Scott Howson some time next week.

Boucher led the Montreal Canadiens' American League affiliate to a first-place finish in the AHL's Western Conference with a 115-point season. The Bulldogs were beat out by the Texas Stars in Game 7 of the conference final.

It was Boucher's first year as the Bulldogs' head coach.
