As a 10-year-old, my issue with playoff hockey is that people all want to get outside in the spring, but that's when playoff hockey is on TV.
The less-important regular season is on TV in the winter when not a lot of people would enjoy going outside, but the most-important hockey (the playoffs) is on when people would rather go outside and have fun.
NHL teams should make a patio outside every NHL arena so fans can watch outside. People can bring their lawn chairs or just stand around. That way fans can enjoy hockey and the great outdoors.

"Last year we came in as maybe an underdog, quietly. Got off to the right start just because teams weren't really ready for us. But this time around that's not the case. They realize we are a good team and they're ready to go against us, right off the get-go."
