I read a real head-scratcher in the crowd shots section of the last THN issue.
One guy wants redemption fights out of the game to "let the big boys play."
No! The fighter vs. fighter tilts are the ones that need to go. They are staged, boring and have nothing to do with the game.
The fights to punish a dirty play or fights that are the result of heat in the game are the ones that are exciting and necessary. Heavyweight bouts, on the other hand, are just bad parodies.
I also think it is ridiculous people (like Patrick Eaves against the Jackets) have to defend themselves after clean, hard hits. I blame Wayne Gretzky for that one.
