Jon Reed, Toronto
As the regular season comes to an end, once again my beloved Leafs have missed the playoffs.
I am only 16 and have only had to endure this constant failure for the last 16 years, but many other fans have had to watch their team not garner any real success game after game, and decade after decade, for more than 40 years.
Yet the ACC/Maple Leaf Gardens has been full forever.
How much longer can this constant failure continue before we start seeing some empty seats? Will it take a 50-year Stanley Cup drought before the ACC stops selling out?
While I watch every game attentively, I subconsciously know that I will eventually have to move on from the Leafs and pick a winning team.
If the Toronto Maple Leafs organization wants to continue to be the most profitable hockey franchise, they better show some success very soon.
While I and many Torontonians love our Leafs and say we will never give up, how much can we take?
