Coyotes reassign rookie defenceman David Schlemko back to AHL affiliate

GLENDALE, Ariz. - The Phoenix Coyotes reassigned rookie defenceman David Schlemko to their AHL affiliate in San Antonio on Tuesday.

The 22-year-old Schlemko has one goal and four assists in 17 games for the Coyotes this season. He scored his first NHL goal in Phoenix's 3-2 win over Dallas on Nov. 14, 2009.

Schlemko has three goals and 12 assists in 36 games for San Antonio this season. He was signed by the Coyotes as a free agent in July 2007 and had one assist in three NHL games last season.
