"Outdoor rink in downtown Columbus. Just growing up playing. That's where I first started to play hockey."

: "I was born in Pittsburgh, so I was always a Mario Lemieux fan. Even though I didn't turn out to be a player like him, he's a guy that got me involved in hockey."

"I like Dierks Bentley and Pearl Jam."

"I'm reading The Last Lecture (by Randy Pausch) right now. Almost done."

"I like to go to Madison Square Garden. (Why?) I grew up in New Jersey, so I was always going to Rangers games. I think it's just the greatest stage on earth; they say, right?"

Funny Hockey Memory:
"I lost to Pete Peeters – our goalie coach – in a breakaway competition. He was playing goalie (smiles)."

Embarrassing Hockey Memory:
"I got a lot of those (smiles). Any time I fall down is pretty embarrassing. I do it quite often. So, I’ll just say any fall. Any unintentional fall on the ice."

Closest Hockey Friend:
"Noah Clarke, Ryan Getzlaf, Corey Perry, all the guys around here."

Funniest Player Encountered:
"Noah Clarke."

"Todd Marchant, Samuel Pahlsson, Ryan Getzlaf, Corey Perry."

Strangest Game:
"In the minors, I played those 10 o'clock games. Those are kind of odd. It was kids day, so they bring all those kids from school. So there's like 10,000 10-year-olds at 10 o'clock in the morning. That's definitely the strangest game I'd say."

Favorite Sport Outside Hockey:
"Beach volleyball."

Most Memorable Goal:
"First one, in Dallas, against (Johan) Hedberg."

"Alex Ovechkin, Jarome Iginla."

"I like humility, humor and honesty."
