Stars goalie Alex Auld clears waivers, assigned to Texas Stars

DALLAS - Dallas Stars goalie Alex Auld was assigned to the AHL's Texas Stars on Thursday after clearing waivers.

When Auld was waived earlier this week, it provided a strong indication that starting goalie Marty Turco won't be moved before the trade deadline next week.

Turco and backup Kari Lehtonen remain on the Stars roster.

Auld, acquired in July from Ottawa, had a 3.00 goals-against average and .894 save percentage in 21 games for Dallas. He went 6-1-0 his last seven home starts.
