Avalanche forward Hejduk to be out 2-4 weeks with knee injury

DENVER - Colorado Avalanche forward Milan Hejduk will undergo an arthroscopic procedure on his knee and is expected to be out for the next two-to-four weeks.

Hejduk has missed several games this season because of the injury, including a 3-1 win over the New Jersey Devils on Saturday.

The Avalanche's website said that during practice Sunday, T.J. Galiardi and Brandon Yip played the wings on a line centred by Matt Duchene, the spot usually held by the 33-year-old Hejduk.

Hejduk has 30 points in 40 games this season. He also is tied for second on the team in goals with 15.

The Avalanche host the Edmonton Oilers on Monday night.
