Stars send D Ivan Vishnevskiy back to AHL 2 days after his own-goal against San Jose

DALLAS - The Dallas Stars have sent young defenceman Ivan Vishnevskiy back to the minor leagues.

The 21-year-old Russian was assigned to the Texas Stars of the AHL on Wednesday, two days after he gave a goal to San Jose when he lost control of the puck and it slid into an empty net.

Vishnevskiy recorded 17 minutes 32 seconds of ice time against the Sharks in his second NHL game this season. He has four goals and nine assists in 33 games with the Texas Stars.
