Hershey Bears win for third straight night with 5-1 victory over Marlies

HERSHEY, Pa. - John Carlson had three assists and the Hershey Bears won for the third straight night, earning a 5-1 American Hockey League victory over the Toronto Marlies on Sunday.

Defenceman Zach Miskovic and forward Keith Aucoin scored power play goals for Hershey (21-8-2), while Jay Beagle, Francois Bouchard, and Boyd Kane scored even strength.

Toronto's Daryl Boyce ended Braden Holtby's shutout bid with a power play goal 13:41 into the third period. Holtby finished with 15 saves.

Joey MacDonald stopped 22 shots for Toronto (13-12-5).

The Bears, who swept a home-and-home set from Rochester to begin the weekend, roll into the Christmas break on a four-game winning streak overall and hold a five-point lead on Albany atop the East Division.
