O'Byrne No. 3 donation a classy gesture

Jordan Philbert, Sherbrooke, Que.

He may have scored in his own net, he may have made some mistakes off the ice, but what he did on the night of the Canadiens’ 100th anniversary wipes his slate clean.

When Ryan O'Byrne gave up his No. 3 to Emile 'Butch' Bouchard, so the jersey could be retired, it was a truly class act. It shows how much respect O'Byrne has for the organization and the respect he has for the great legends who played in Montreal before him.

In my mind he deserves to have his slate erased of all the mistakes he has made in the past.
