NEW YORK - San Jose Sharks centre Joe Thornton was named first star of the week Monday after leading all scorers with eight points last week.
Thornton had two goals, six assists and a plus-3 rating in three games.
Montreal Canadiens goaltender Carey Price was named second star and Ottawa Senators centre Mike Fisher took the third star.
Price posted a 2-0-1 record with a 1.89 goals-against average and .940 save percentage last week.
Fisher recorded six points (2-4) and a plus-5 rating to help the Senators win three consecutive games.
